HOW I DO MY COLLAGE PAINTINGS....

"I start my collage paintings by painting the sky and background on a canvas.  Then using the choice I’ve previously selected from my collection of photographs, I compose the painting.  I then use some of the real photograph, collaged and then painted to my vision, to complete the canvas painting.  This process takes anywhere from a week to a month for each painting. This is in addition to the time involved in researching and photographing the image for each painting.".... Marla
